I would just like to know when it was decided on who was running the Angel Tree and Holiday Boutique because if I do recall at our last meeting we put those two things off until the next meeting. Which would be tonight! Don't you think it would be fair to give everyone a chance at the meeting to volunteer to be chairs?

ReplyDeleteAnyone can volunteer to chair an event at any time. It does not need to be done at a monthly meeting.
For example, Michelle Prewitt volunteered 2 weeks ago to take care of the Angel Tree. Between then and today, she has already been able to get the wheels in motion by speaking with Social Services and the school. She has dates and will be asking for volunteers tonight to help with the event. Because she volunteered and got things going early, she won't be in a time crunch in assembling her team or in getting the activity off to a wonderful start.
